Charles Farley elected 2nd Vice President of the NC Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts

 
Charles Farley, Vice Chair of the Pitt County Soil and Water
Conservation District Board of Supervisors, was elected Second
Vice President of the North Carolina Association of Soil and Water
Conservation Districts. The election took place at the Annual Meeting
of the Association in Durham. Mr. Farley will assist the Association in
this position to move conservation forward.

 

 

 
   

Environmental Education Announcements

2012 North Carolina Coastal Envirothon winners announced!
 
Four of the seven middle school teams that qualified for the North Carolina State Envirothon are from Pitt County. Pitt County Homeschoolers (Free the Zebras), A G Cox MS (I Can't Believe It's Not Dirt) and Greenville Montessori School (Kepler 22B & Radiactive Jedi Gerbils) are among the leaders to attend the State competition. J. H. Rose High School and D. H. Conley (Nature-A-Listers) will be competing during the Sate Envirothon. (You can download the scores at www.nccoastalenvirothon.org.)

Pitt County Homeschoolers, take 1st Place during the Middle School competition.
Traci Stead, Team Advisor, has been leading this team for two years. Congrats!
 
 
Team Name: I Can't Believe It's Not Dirt
A. G. Cox Middle takes 2nd Place during the Middle School competition.
Advisor, Heather Kulickowski continue to offer this
extensive environmental education program to their students.
 
 
Team Name: The Brady Bunch
J. H. Rose High School placed second during the NC Coastal Envirothon.
